Neophyte

                          Hi friends! Welcome to our brotherhood. Here, we always got each other's back. We value each other like a real brother; we will value you. Here, you can be with us in our happenings and enjoyment. You can have all the advantages that an ordinary student do not. We are all family here.

                  But first, Memorize these passwords and doctrines our family has. Are you ready? Okay, let me put this blindfold on you. Don't worry, this is how we do it here. We will just hit you several times on your back legs as you recite every passwords and doctrines we've given to you. If ever you fell down and your blood stop circulating, we can take care of you, we have here medical students to hold you upside down to get your blood circulation back to normal and proceed. Come on! Say it louder, or else we will repeat this over again.

                   Next is simple, thirty seconds we will just beat up your body. If you fell down under time, we will just simply do it again back to zero. No, stop calling me by my name. You should call me Master. After this session, you will be my slave for a week. You will do everything I will tell you. Yes, everything. After your class you must be with me, following me wherever I go. After that, if ever you are still alive, you will now become one of our family.

                    Don't worry. As I have said, Here, we always got each other's back. We value each other like a real brother; we will value you. Here, you can be with us in our happenings and enjoyment. You can have all the advantages that an ordinary student do not. We are all family here. This is our brotherhood.

Waiting Shed

One day in a small busy country of Macau, I went out to see my friends. As I passed through the bus stop, I saw a waiting shed crowded with men and women who maybe are about to go to school and office. Everyone of them seemed in a hurry, but had no choice but to wait. Out of nowhere, I just came to realize that in many ways, human never wanted the idea of waiting, and probably waiting shed was never an ideal place to stay at for a long time.

I told myself, "Good thing there's a waiting shed." at least somehow they can be at ease while waiting. But, does really the waiting shed make them at ease? Why they still look mad? Why?

Young ones today are facing the same challenge. We are now in this time called Post-modernity, where lots of stuff can be taken instantly, which makes waiting a hard task to do. Many of us, are now maybe in a place we called Waiting Shed. Of course waiting shed is a good place to stay at while waiting. But I realized that it's not the place that matters as we wait. It's the waiting itself. It's not about how long did you wait, but about what you did while waiting.

Back to the waiting shed, I saw a man on his phone giving instruction to the one who's on the other line, and a student sitting on a bench reading her book. Then I said, I think that's what makes waiting essential.

We believe that God has prepared big things for us. Yes He has. But why we usually use the phrase "Right timing." but don't even think of  being the "Right us." What if the right time came? Are we gonna be able to say that we became the right person along with that? God has put us in a waiting shed not because the right time is not there yet. The right time comes along with us being the right person for it.

We have been given a waiting time not to test how long can we wait, but for a process of preparation for what is to come. IT'S NOT ABOUT THE WAITING ITSELF, IT'S ABOUT WHAT YOU DO WHILE YOU WAIT.
